Whir....
Ok this is fairly random...but when im powering it there is a whir a bit like a supercharger (i wish) but it sounds like the water pump.

Also on startup sometimes it chirps (only done this since i changed coolant) so im not sure its not valvetrain releated as its got low milage and i've just serviced it inspected cams and what not for wear and its all ok.

Leaves me thinking water pump or alt???

Did you bleed the air out after you changed coolant? I did a coolant flush at work and it started to do what I believe is the same problem. Bleeding it solved my problem.

a2dadamm is neutral and has a clean balanced record.

im not really sure what a "WHIR" is lol but yeah try bleeding the air out..

like a really high pitched scream that gets higher as i rev the car....i'll try bleeding the system tonight.

Take the belt off and spin all the pulleys by hand and see if you can hear anything. Sounds like something belt driven.
