you would lose your low end torque in the swap but you top end would increase a bit. If price isnt a big issue I suggest aftermarket

Ya man, upgrading the head to one of those and getting some nice internals, not a bad option. Being that were a 10.5 (i think) compression it should be a stout motor. I'd also suggest the usual, header, intake, exhaust, deal.

Just take the Intake cam from the K20a, port and polish the k24 head, add RBC intake manifold and there you go. You are going to have a head laying around and I highly doubt you will be able to sell it.

^^ yea.. no real point in swapping a k20 head if you plan on doing work on it, might as well work on the k24a2 head, i think the only thing the k20 head has over k24 is slightly better flowing, so if you port and polish your k24 head, it will be just as good.
also.. you wont lose your low end tq if you do decide to do the swap. the lost is due to the change in intake manifold. you just need to mod your tsx manifold to work with the rsx head and it will give you a very good tq+hp curve vs. rbc manifold which will net you a higher hp # but overall usable (low end) will not be as high.

making a k24/k20 is popular in other forums. havent really read up on it. i do know that intake cam is better though, but without tuning and just doing the headsweap its probably almost useless.

Screw that. You pretty much have a type S head. You have better exhaust cam and low intake lobe. You got VTEC on both intake and exhaust cams just like type s. You got same injectors. Just get the VTC mechanism from RSX, good aftermarket cams, RBC or RRC intake manifold, and do not go cheap with the exhaust. All of stock exhaust system is very restrictive. Go with single exhaust. Oh and while u are at it, get 06 or aftermarket inatke valves. Also port your throttle body or get one from 06 TSX. Do not buy icebox if you have aftermarket cams, buy full CAI. I guarantee you will break 250 WHP mark.

Full K20 head about 10-20 hp gain. Aftermarket cams same gain with stage 1. More with stage 2. Completely useless without cam advance.
