Test pipe VS High flow cat ?

Im thinking about CT header + Fastline cat or Weapon R with test pipe included, the only thing stopping me from Weapon R is possibly exhaust smell from test pipe.
Have anyone compared test pipe performance gains vs high flow cats ? Does pipes smells really bad compared to HFC ?

I dont know about performance, but my brother has straight pipe and it smells bad/rich. but only when you drive close behind him.

I have heard that a test pipe will have a smell for a while, but it eventually goes away. I don't have first-hand experience on this matter though, just going from what I have heard.

+1 to the smell. i've smell it be4. really bad.

I have Fastline cat myself.

i chose this over testpipe is just because, it looks the same as OEM cat. Don't want to get into trouble with the cop. just hoping the cop will think that its OEM.

Test pipes aren't really worth it on these cars, to be honest. The minimal gains (we're talking 2 or 3whp here) over a well-crafted HFC don't justify the smell/risk of cop harassment/enviornmental ramnifications. Run a HFC.
