TODA applications for K24
Answer from Toda about TSX applications
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your e-mail and interest in TODA Racing. The market demand for TSX internal parts isn't great enough to justify speedy development of TSX parts. In addition, engines (RSX vs TSX) are different enough that developing TSX specific internal parts isn't as easy as you're assuming. We have already tested our K20A camshafts on the TSX, and test results showed that the TSX requires a different cam design. A new K20A camshaft design is in development, and we plan to test this on the TSX in early 2006. Valve springs, camshafts, and maybe an exhaust manifold will be available in 2006, but throttle bodies and an exhaust system are not planned.

The "Toda" headers some TSX owners are using are for the Euro-R/CL7 with a K20 engine. So it's not exactly designed for the K24.

^ You can still use it with some modification. YOu definitely need a EUro R cat. Those Toda headers go for $1200 a piece...of course, Mugen is like $2000

I've been wondering this as well. Sure, the header will bolt on assuming that you have the correct parts, but since the CL7R and CL9's engine performs differently, will putting a Toda header (or any header designed for the EuroR) have detrimental effects to the K24?
I noticed that most JDM headers (Maxim, Toda, Mugen) are designed specifically for the CL7, with no CL9 specific application

I'm not saying it won't "fit", it will bolt on even without the Euro-R cat, just need some custom piping/flanges. My concern is more of the engineering aspect of things, i.e. designed for a 2.0litre 8,000rpm engine, versus a 2.4litre 7,3000rpm engine.

You will definately feel more of a kick with the toda header compared with dc and comptech. I have used all 3 headers and toda is definately the one.

where did you get the toda header and how much?
is it as we predict? made for K20 motor, but it fits the K24... did you dyno it? curious to know if the K20 header still provides gains on the K24 greater than the comptech/dc one...

i dont know why it would have "dentrimental" effects on our CL9 when it was made for the CL7 application
For e.g MAXIM WORKS headers, prob the best headers u can get for euro/tsx is avail for the CL7 application, yet i know so far there are 2 pple that have it on their euro/tsx without a problem.
