oh so so fresh

well when you add more power, you'll want to feel that power more often, thus when it is constantly floored, or high rpm, your gas mileage will decrease.

I'm actually hoping they come out with the 05 6MT hondata reflash soon... I just hit VTEC for the 1st time today on my TSX and it just feels almost worthless to have it 1100 rpm before redline, even though it's quite a rush.

I dunno about you guys but the rare time that i would floor it, I don't feel any VTEC. The engine feels very linear to me.

does the reflash really affect the mileage or do the people driving the car affect the mileage. I mean it doesn't change the power curve a whole lot at lower/cruising RPMS and I wouldn't think it would make the car a whole lot richer at lower rpms. I mean I could see it using a bunch more gas from 5000-6000rpm but other than that it should be about the same, no? That is unless the user hits vtec constantly now that it's enhanced.

I would say it depends more on the driver. It depends the most on the RPMs you shift at and how much you're on the throttle.
I have been able to achieve the same gas mileage before and after my reflash.

Well Vtec is lowered to 5... The Gas Milage may be slightly worse because of the mod itself...but its definitely the People that affect it most.

just like the Injen CAI>....it all depends on the driver. If you get the reflash and still drive like an old granny... then you are good to go!! (but...no point of getting it....haha)

no diff. in mpg that can be attributed to the reflash here.

I haven't had any change in mileage. About 30 hwy, 23 city, 26-27 avg. both before and after reflash.
