mod questions!!
Hi all, i am new in here. recently, i am planin to modify some hp with my 04 tsx. i have do some research for it. here is some questions , ang suggestion would help, thanks.
1. AEM + DC sports header or Injen CAI + Comptech header is better? i mean which intake plus header is more match working. hows the power? does AEM have CAI, not SRI?
2. does Hondata ECU reflashed very helpful with intake and header above?(worry adverse effects to the car) is it necessary or better to do with?
3. hows the Skunk 2 exhaust work? any other good exhaust can introduce?
4. whats racoon sticker?
all the system i only would like to make deep sound, really dont like noise. just wanna keep them in quiet. last, if i do as above, any disadvantage to the car?
THANKS for your guys' patience, i really appreciate.

AEM only makes a SRI and I would not reccomend it... Id say go with Injen or K&N Cold Air Intake, and a Comptech Header...

The Skunk 2's not bad... at little big for my taste...so I dont have it or know much about it...someone else can better answer this for you
Andynolife hit a racoon a little while ago, that was a joke

In that case Id say go with something such as a Mugen Airbox, Fujitsbo Legacy Exhaust and Comptech Headers... Hondatas good too of course...but those mods should be the best to adjust the sound to just be a low deep rumble rather then a F1 Car...

Mugen intake is an intake, much like our OEM one (and uses some of the parts from ours). The difference is it's CF and it's mugen, and... i think it has different piping system or something.. i don't know....ask experts. But Mugen intake DO give you a very good gain all through the RPMs....
There's tons sound clips of CAI... just use search.....
see.... we are nicer here than the other board.....haaha..... we don't hate on Noobs~!

Since the Mugen intake is like the Comptech IceBox it will be quiet compared to the Injen CAI. The Injen CAI is only loud at WOT...I have one and love it.

The Mugen airbox is like.....4-5 times the price of Injen......hahaha, so if you really wan it, you have to think about what price you are willing to pay for an intake.
I heard that the Mugen airbox's WOT sound is comparable to the CAI, it's either just as loud or a little quieter..... and i forgot but there's something that you can do that makes the Mugen Airbox loud for all the rpm or something......

Well, I'm probably wrong about the Mugen intake since not many people have them but I know the Comptech Icebox is quiet (ask Type X) compared to the Injen CAI. Like I said the CAI is quiet unless you go around driving WOT a lot like me. The CAI is as quiet as the stock airbox at highway speeds and low RPMs. You will hear it a little under normal acceleration and you will certainly hear it under hard acceleration (WOT).
