I wouldn't call the OE radiator hoses weak, if anything they're no where poorer in comparison to Samco (J's Racing Hoses) or Spoon. There is little to no difference even in reducing cooling temperatures when simply running such replacement hoses on street or on track.
These silicon hoses are designed to be used with a full replacement aluminium radiator, a more active thermostat and fan switch to truly see temperature reduction in competition work. For a street car, it's nothing more than an asthetic replacement. The OE replacement hoses are good for 10 years on average in most street cars, that itself isn't classified as substandard or weak in my books.
Whoever that wrote something so degrading outta reflect on what their purpose of/is when attempting to publish/promote such products of whatever nature. Unless there is clear factual evidential basis to proof, it's pretty much marketing statement at work as usual.

thats what I figured. now I just want to find out whether those hoses really will fit the engine in the tsx or if they are for the euro r. also maybe I am just seeing things but that valve cover looks ever so slightly different than the oem one. like to me it looks like the oil cap is in a different location and such.

my friend's J's valve cover on his S2000 is really badly coated. there are cracks and imperfections along all of the edges. my other friend's spoon S2000 valve cover is the same. the color is great, the coating is very poor.
i have a friend with an Si that has a spoon B series valve cover that is very well made and perfectly finished.... who knows why.
he might've gotten a good one or the others might have gotten bad ones, i cant comment either way.
i like the J's racing valve cover though, i'm considering it.

Those images are "universally" what the resellers/distributor has. If they have a listed application and it doesn't fit, by all means you're fully entitled to a refund. Yes, that's an S2000 J's treated rocker cover.

I have a picture of my friend's valve cover at home. I'll try and post it later so you can see what I'm talking about.

Hahaha.... i saw those on AJR's site last night....... and i KNEW colt you will be interested.... i mean....it's JDM yo!!
I think those items will more be show than authentic racing.... i mean, you get the hose so the judges see you have done some upgrade.. and the J's racing valve cover just SCREAMS you are loaded!!
if AJR was sponsoring me....haha.. i would get them in a heartbeat, along w/ the J's racing fender thingy, exhasut....and many other goodies~

I am really thinking of getting those hoses to add to my engine bay. The more color accents and JDM Shiz the better.
