Definately...you'll find out more of the practicality of the car talking to real people who owns the car or have driven the car before than any car magazine. They're all about the numbers and almost all the time they don't mention little creature comforts and annoyances of a car...

Yeah, we gave a million welcomes to EuroR just because she was the 2000th member.

The TSX sites also were a major source for me when I was first deciding -- in fact, THE major source. (It was ClubTSX that I was looking at -- before I became a member of any site.) And it really told me everything I was looking for -- it was great. I hope our site is giving you everything YOU'RE looking for. If not, just holler.

Loving mine! 140 miles on it now...I had fun talking to the NAVI while going to lunch today and my co-worker thought it was a pretty cool car. He has a 427 Cobra (replica) that he build himself and he is into cars to say the least.

Yeah, but does it have a new TSX owner in it?

Larchmont, who doesn't necessarily stay on the topic either.

i still have seen very few female tsx drivers, but on to the topic.

i will hit 4500 miles tomorrow -- 1 month and 3 weeks after purchase date.
i cannot stress enough how much i love my car! the sportshift is so much fun, and oh-so-helpful during my miles and miles of 2-lane interstate travel each week.
i changed the map lights and front door lights to blue led's and tinted the windows (32%). my xm install will be done next week.
then i'm ready to take pictures!!

i love love love my car and don't regret my purchase for a millisecond!

I didn't mean you had to do anything, of course. I was just using this as a moment to mention my little thought about "exact same cars,"

Meaning I need to do this if I want to find out if other "exact same" cars have some of the fit and finish issues that my car has. It just bothers me that I can't find a perfect car for me. With a better QC, 8000 redline, power passenger seat, and auto up/down windows the TSX would have been the perfect car. But alas my journey continues. I'll wait for the RL and probably buy a used one in 07 or something. In life its the little things that get to us. Big things we can expect and react to, but its the little things like the straw that will break the camels back eventually.

I agree that the TSX isn't a "great" car. But I don't agree that it competes well only because of the price. Although some of the venerable "great" cars in the category have higher prices on paper, in fact we've seen 9-3's and 3-series cars going for pretty close to TSX prices. I think the truth is, NONE of these are "great" cars, especially if you take reliability into account, which I do very heavily. By my criteria, which admittedly might be a little idiosyncratic, the TSX is the "best" car of the bunch, and, as I've said elsewhere, it's also the "best" car even if you go up a couple of notches in price. That view is quite extreme, but I think you'll find a lot of people disagreeing that the TSX competes well only because of price.
I think that even if the TSX were priced like $2K higher, and if Honda/Acura pushed the car (which they're not), it would compete well too.

Majority of people buy TSX because of "value" and "bang for the buck". If they can get a 250+ hp V6 with all the goodies the TSX has for only $2k more, then of course they will go that route (G35 9-3 325 IS300 C240 A4). But the fact is they can't. With all the popular options, these cars are running $35k. Nobody finishes teset driving these cars and say "Hey look at this TSX it is so fast". I would bet money that more than 50% of TSX owners have owned an Accord/Civic/Integra/RSX in the past, and I'm not one of them.

Bottom line, I'm happy with the TSX, but I think Acura can dominate this segment by upping the performance/quality even with a price increase.
I don't agree with that, and I am sure many others won't either. I have seen countless reviews on the Euro/TSX and yet have seen a negative view. Yes it may be affordable, but that doesn't mean they have skimped on quality. Maybe your expectations are a little higher than everyone elses, but I think the quality and quietness of the Euro/TSX is first class! You talk about power? Well heck I think 200 HP out of a 2.4 4 Cylinder Engine, keeping in mind the excellent fuel efficiency is excellent! Maybe you should go and buy an expensive BMW or such?
