What Year TSX Should I Get?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I'm in search of a new car & have high interest in the TSX. Is there any problem in getting the 1st launch which is the 2004 or it doesn't matter. For sure, I'm not getting a 07-08 model since ECU management isn't available. Lots of people say its best to get the 2006 model since most of the problems has been fix & has more features than the 2004.

Thanks

Don't get 04's, has some major problems. If you like to mod, get an 06. It has the best of both worlds. You get the features of the higher year models yet you also get the modding availability for the lower year models that aren't compatible with the 07-08's.

Do you mean just things like the lack of power seat for pass, and other interior "lacks" or are you saying major mechanical/structural problems?

I think 06 is the best year.

An 06 vote for me as well, after finding out so much about the differences on here, i really wish i would have refined my search a bit. If you have the choice, get the 06, but dont sacrifice a manual transmission for a power passenger seat.

There is more than AC issues. At least 3 people had their engines swapped before they hit 100k miles bc they were defected and either burnt too much oil or overheated. The dash lights also fail on many 04 tsx's. I wish I searched this forum before I bought 05

I got an '04 just replaced AC compressor (clutch field coil burnt out) but I have 105k and I track my car and have had no major issues with the engine or otherwise. It burns less oil than the two GSR's and the s2000 I owned.

I could care less about power passenger seat that's the passenger's problem not mine, but if I happen to be in the passenger set I'm not that lazy to adjust my seat besides adjusting the seat yourself is much quicker than power, IMO.

& I knew it that its gonna be the 06 model. The more recent year, the better improvement of the last model will be. Darn...now I have to find a manual cuz where I live is all automatic *sigh* & if it's a manual they all have tan interior.
However I don't think I can buy one yet since I'm on a college budget

But I appreciate for all your opinions.
