Approx time of release, late October.

"When I return from my vacation, we're looking at 2 weeks max for prototyping, and another 1 1/2 weeks to develop the mould. I will send you pictures of the development."

Recieved an email from John, this is what it said.

"The site looks very promising. Looks like the first lip is the clear winner. I will get started on this when I get back from my two week vacation in Italy. Next steps...I will contact my friend with the 04-05 TSX to see if I canuse his car. If not, I will need a donor for 4 days."

So good news, the lip will be started by the end of the month.

Ok people, Poll is up. Please vote for the lip you want to see go into production. Remember that the pictures below are just renderings and that the real product will be spectacular. JDP would not make a ugly product. I spoke to John and he really does't want to make any more renderings, so this is it. If there isn't enough interest, it will kill the project. I was tired of looking at only 3 lip options for our cars. So I decided to contact John at JDP Engineering. They have made a lot of rare CF lips for not so popular applications, like 90, 91 Acura Integra, 09 Honda Fit's, ETC. There quality is OEM if not better, and the fit is just as good. After a few emails, John said he already wanted to make a lip for the 04, 05 TSX, but it kept falling through due to lack of interest. He stated that if I can get 20 people to buy in, he would be very interested in working with us TSX guys to create a new lip, everyone's input will be used to create a new lip. So I am doing this to generate some interest.

Here is their web page, take a look at there work. They have appeared in Honda-Tuning build's and have been spoken very highly of. The style that I was gunning for was something similar to the EVO 10 and the 09 Honda Fit.

The price would be $250+shipping, which is $50 or $60 depending on the size of the final product. So the same price as ASPEC. ONLY THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE ON THE LIST WILL GET THIS PRICE, Then heeltoe.com will take over sales and Marcus will have to increase the price for his effort to move the product.

UPDATE 8/31/09
I just recieved a rough rendering from John at JDP, just remember its rough.

Please post you comments, I want to hear your feedback. Here was my response in an email sent to John.

"Getting there. I think the lip is sitting to high up on the bumper. I would like for it come down a bit and cover less of the bumper, just let it attach to the bottom of it, also it looks like it protrudes out from the car a bit, maybe a little shorter. I love where it's going, we just need to touch it up a bit. I'll post it up on the forums to see what feedback I can get. Thanks for coming up with the rendering so fast, I appreciate it."

UPDATE 9/1/09
Every body needs to remember how hard it is to render. We can't get you a million different shots, that's just to much. As we all know it, things look way better when all said and done(real life).

So I just got of the phone with John. We talked about all the various lip designs that we wanted to integrate into the current setup. He will be cleaning up the first rendering and making another one with a different style lip. He read all the comments on this page, and is very accommodating towards us. As soon as I have both renderings, which will be by the end of tomorrow, you will vote in a poll on the final design.

NEW UPDATE 9/2/09

Recieved the new renderings from John, I won't start a poll yet, I'm not fully satisfied with the style. If you have a lip that you like and want the ones we are making to look simular, post a picture.

I had a JDP lip on my old DA, the fitment was perfect.

Sounds like a good idea but I don't think you should be taking input from 20 different guys on how it should look. Just ask the company to come up with a design, at least on paper, and see if you can get 20 guys interested.

hrmm.... i hope for the best for this front lip design, even though i probably wont be buying it bc i have my sights set on sometihng else, BUT..... it would be awesome if a company would finally design canards for our car.

Diffuser over lip any day. it actually provides some downforce (in most applications) where as lip is extra drag and weight.

They are going to take input, the actual design will be done by them.

Unless you track your car, it doesn't matter.

I'm going to need to have 20 people pre-purchase. I will try to get a rendering in the next couple of day. Stay tuned.
