things you did to your TSX this weekend

1. oil change at about 16K. mobil1 synth and mobil1 oil filter. did some little stuff like replace the drain bolt b/c it was kinda mangled. replaced the drain bolt cover since it was lost (ie. never put back on) during one of my early stealership visits.

2. cleaned the k&n filter in my icebox. i thought i did this early enough in the day so it'd dry, but after the initial rinse/drying, i noticed that it was still rather dirty. so i repeated the process. this time it took, but it was already 4pm. i was at my inlaws and it was getting darker. and this thing definitely wouldn't dry in time for me to re-oil it, re-install it and drive off. so i had to borrow a car and go back for the CT-E foam filter. oiled it up, removed the weatherseal i had in the airbox lid for the k&n panel, and closed her up.

3. finally replaced the flickering/dead license plate bulb on the right. this is probably the second or third set of those hoen led's i've gone through. this time i played with the metal prongs in the housing so the fit was snug. replaced it, and now it looks classy again. although the right bulb was a lot brighter than the left.

4. noticed a decent sized scuff mark on my front bumper. probably teh size of my thumb tip. some a-hole probably just backed into my car and rubbed it. clearcoat is definitely gone. and probably some amount of paint. if i ever can get an enclosed parking space or garage, i'm going to do a thorough repainting of my front/rear bumpers and my mugen grille (scratched to hell).
