/\Yeah, I don't have any problems with my 05 PWP.
I do polish it twice a year and I use wax-as-you-dry spray when I wash, plus other random waxes (all with the Porter Cable machine). But besides paint chips from 75k miles, my paint is pretty good.
Sounds like you need to wash/wax more often to keep your paint protected.

Pretty common on white cars in my experience, had it on my Civic and my wife's Odyssey.
Try a clay bar on it.

I had what looked like rust spots in the gutter area in the trunk, and my dealer told me it is actually environmental fallout, which just shows up more on white cars.

My car started showing that too. I've heard it happens to alot of hondas because they ship them new VIA train. so at high speed on the train the dirt and dust particles that kick up from the tracks put tiny nicks in the paint. had my car fully detailed and clay bar done. no new "spots" have shown since. So I highly recomend the claybar.

I've used the Clay Magic product with good results. It runs about $11 at Advance Auto. You can generally keep using it until you run out of of the Clay Lube or whenever. Just make sure to keep the clay bar in a ziplock baggie with some lube. I keep the older bars and use them on the window glass.

This is sort of correct...The iron rail dust particles are embedding in the paint, not nicking the paint.
These particles rust and cause the rust spots. The paint is not oxidizing.
That's why you can rub & remove these iron oxide particles.
This is common for all vehicles not just Honda/Acura's.
Our 2006 PWP TSX had the same small rust spots when we got it a few months ago. Clay bar & detailed got rid of them.
Our brand new 2004 Silver Dodge Ram had the same issue. I think this is why they are now wrapping new cars in that white plastic these days.
Plus today's water based paint is not nearly as good as previous oil based paints.
Similar to today's engine oils are not nearly as good at engine oil in previous years.

The more protectant and sealant there is on your paint, the less this environmental fall out will bond and rust on the surface of your paint.
With a white car, it's a must to clay bar once a year, and polish/wax once or twice (minimum).

I use a Porter Cable 7424 to apply polish/wax.
I use Meguiars Professional Line Speed Glaze polish and I use the NXT Generation wax. All clay bars do the same job from what I've seen with my PWP. I use the Eagle One Wax as You Dry after all my washes, its really the easiest way to keep a coat of wax on without the work. Its best on PWP too since its least likely to have a hot surface.
