No Aftermarket Love in Ontario

Just curious if anybody in Ontario knows of a good Aftermarket/Tuner shop I can take my TSX and finally get some help with my ride?

Just getting and installing parts. Ive been to JRP Engineering off the QEW and Erin mills pkwy and there great for tuning. but their strictly performance. I was hopeing to find a shop that could order and install an A-Spec kit or get me rims etc...

Don't buy from JRP, they are overpriced LOL And I see you have Sprint Booster, how is that working out for you?
Buy parts according to what you want to do with car, whether just have it look good or handle good, or both etc etc.

In terms of getting parts, there's Speedstar, the sponsor of the Canada section, as well as many other places depending on what you're looking for. In terms of installation, most body shops can install typical mods like suspension, body kits, exhaust, etc.

I think he's trying to get at ... how come there isn't a vendor like Heeltoe, but in the GTA/Ontario.

Short and long of it is, Canada sucks balls, too expensive to run a business like that with competitive pricing, and while the TSX market might seem huge because we own TSX's, it's a pretty runty ass sized market compared to the USA, and TSX's aren't all that common either (as compared to other tuner faves like the Civic).

They sell like 7K units a year in Canada or something like that? the 1G TSX had a 5 year run?

The TSX isn't as rare as an honest politician, but pretty freaking rare compared to other vehicles.

In terms of vendors, we do have Speedstar as previously mentioned.

Nextmod (Peter) is a pretty friendly guy with decent pricing as well (they do more than just body kits), they can also do most if not all of your installs.

Chi / David at 360 Auto are great as well, they can also order a variety of parts at decent pricing (though I've only really ever inquired about brakes and stuff like that, nothing too exotic).

All 3 are in Markham, but don't let that deter you, I recall one time I saw a guy from Hamilton come up to Chi's!

the sprint booster works good, it feels like I put an extra 20ft/lb to the wheels! it still shifts smooth but the throttle response is quicker and sometimes I spin the tires without even trying lol.

Also, on most cars its a (litterally) 2min job. but because of the TSXs factory sway bar the bracket has to be either bent or (what JRP did) a new one has to be made to clear the bar. but I am deffinatly happy with the buy.

And I 100% agree with you about JRP, they're overpriced! lol. I only went to them because I didnt know of any other shops at the time. the S/B cost me about $240

Also, can any of those shops color match paint my parts? I have my grill and spoiler but they need to be painted and installed. Im sure I can install the grill my self but the spoiler will be left in the capable hands of the shop lol
