There is an upgraded TQ converter for serious racers, but if you are looking to turbocharge yours and hit 300WHP and 250WTQ, then you can simply have yours rebuilt and strengthened. As for possibilities..... Just about any mod available for MT will fit AT model, as long as it does not deal with tranny (clutches, flywheels ect).

^ Yup. Surprised you didn't mention pulleys since you always do
OP: try to search because there are plenty of ppl who have done a bunch of stuff to their autos from just exterior work to supercharging etc. Check the TOTM (TSX of the Month) area and see what people have done, quite a few are AT winners.

Recommendation would be turbo. Turbo AT > Turbo MT.

Just because the TSX is auto doesn't mean you can't mod it, it's a family car after all, LOL. Anyways, yea there's a lot of stuff to do and my TSX is auto too.

wait why is a turbo at > turbo mt? Cause of the torque converter?
To the OP, lots of people on here have autos and mod. Nothing out of the ordinary. Some people may find it worthless doing engine/performance mods with autos and others may not.

I'd go with looks before performance on an auto.
Having said that, I'd definitely do pulleys right away (cheap and it gets rid of a lot of sluggishness of the AT TSX), then work coilovers, rims, bodykit (if you're going to get a body kit, get it before doing any performance mods).

haha yes, pulleys are just about the best bolt-on out there. The gain is most noticeable at low rpms which is great when u have auto.

Yes, TQ converter, but most importantly you don't have to let go off gas pedal and blow all the boost off every time you shift, so you don't have to build it up again. You just floor it with AT and throttle stays open throughout the run.

^ Well, they came to think that MT > AT in every way. It is more reliable, gives more control, passes more power to the wheels and bla bla bla. Well, that is not true when we talk about high power/boosted cars.
AT is more consistent and keeps the power going all the time. It shifts quicker than most people can with MT and has no misshifts. Finally, as I said before, it keeps the boost going all the time. This is why F1 cars all have dual clutch auto gearboxes. This is why GTR has auto gearbox. This is why auto GTI runs 0-60 in 6.2 seconds as opposed to manual model's 6.5..... Now I am not comparing our gearboxes to those dual clutch, purpose built trannies that shift in .2 of a second.... but with a modded TQ converter and boost, you are in a better position than with a modded clutch and boost....
