Vibrating during idle

During idle, I get a lot of vibration from my motor. Just as soon as I give it some gas (even a few hundred RPM) the vibration goes away. Any ideas why this might be happening?
Also, seems like the idel speed is pretty low (600rpm?) what do you guys show for idle speed on your cars?

Normal idle seems to be around 800 rpms. Try cleaning your throttle body with some TB cleaner. Sometimes the throttle plate sticks causing a low idle or stalling. It has worked on some other cars that I have drive, but I have never had this issue with my TSX,

Good luck!

that kinda sounds normal to me, most four cyl. will vibrate a lot when at idle, just because of the firing order of the engine and the idle speed, the engine will have counter balance shafts inside the engine but you will still feel the vibration but if its really bad you have someone check all your engine mounts, one could be worn out or starting to let go,has it been always doing that or has the vibrations just started to get bad???

Service Manual says..
M/T 750 +/- 50 rpm
A/T 800 +/- 50 rpm

As suggested check the throttle assembly but it could be as simple as a clogged air filter !!

I know this sounds crazy but check your heatshield for your catalytic converter.
When I'd start mine up or when the rpm's dropped low it'd rattle..and come to find out the heat shield tack welds were rusted and it was rattling...THat could be your problem as well

my accord does the same thing.... i was idling around 600 before i got my new battery....now im up around 800 but def get a heavy vibration...i think i lost a screw/bolt on my heatshield too...so it def rattles

maybe check your exhaust hangar on yur downpipe....mine came loose a few times and when i fixed it then rattling stopped

Question

I have a CT engineering header and tanabe exhaust. it vabreates a lot when I have the A/C on. you guys think I should make a custom hanger for headers? like factory has? I have an automatic trans. and that happens when I'm at the stop light with A/C on.

I didn't wanted to start new thread.

thanks
