oil life reading adjustment

for those with 06-08s,
i have about 1300 miles on my car since i did my last oil change, with the mobil 1 synthetic.
however, my MID is reading that the oil life is already at 80%.
do you guys know if the MID would adjust to the synthetic oil, or no? or is my oil life REALLY at 80% after only 1300 miles?
your input is greatly appreciated!

The oil life reading seems to be mileage based. Some people say its based on engine revolutions. I don't think the MID knows what kind of oil is in there.

Yea I asked the same question before. The MID only measures speed and acceleration for oil life. The MID doesn't measure the ACTUAL oil so what I did is just reset the MID oil life when it reaches %15 and then change my oil on the next %15 reading. So that gets to about 8k miles for every oil change with fully synthetic.

100% = 100-96%
90% = 95-86%
80% = 85-76% and so on....it something close to this, give or take a%.

Anyway thats how my Acura mechanic explained it to me. The faster and/or more aggressive you drive the quicker it ticks away. Also if you have a dirty air filter or cold start/stop your car it wont help things.
