Cracked my headlights...

Hey guys if you can help me it would be great, my headlights got smashed by vandalism but my lights and everything work. Whats the best option for me? is there like the plastic thing I can buy? or do i have to buy a whole new pair of headlights?

Thanx

I've never seen just the clear plastic for sale. Look at getting new headlight assemblies. Vandals and thieves suck. Sorry to hear about your car.

Funny, I was going to start a similar thread because my headlight lenses look cloudy like the previous owners used something weird to try cleaning them and they just messed up. I asked the Acura dealer and they said I can't buy the lens separate from the entire assembly. I asked how much an assembly cost and they said it was $640!!! I did some searching online and came across this site Headlights Depot There's were much cheaper at just $152 per assembly. I think I will go ahead and order them and hope for the best as I'm not certain they are made by Honda/Acura.

Oops, my bad. I didn't notice you have an 07. Hmm, I don't know if they will believe the lens just cracked on it's own but it won't cost you anything to try. You never know.

Here, I just did a quick search and came across this site 07 2007 Acura TSX Headlight Assembly - Body Electrical - Replacement, Left - Driver Side, Right - Passenger Side - PartsGeek

There's is $240 per assembly for 2007. Pricey but still better than $640. I'll bet if you searched further you could find it cheaper.

I'm sorry to hear about your headlights. i don't think the stealership will do anything about it. i cracked my headlights as well back in may. I bought mine off of ebay for about $152 [for one side]. Afterwards [you may already know this], you just gotta take off the front bumper, and unhook all the wiring and remove the bulbs/ballasts from the cracked headlight onto the new one. be careful about touching the bulbs!
oh. here's a link to something similar: 2006 2007 2008 Acura TSX Headlight Head Lamp Pair Set:eBay Motors (item 130332990733 end time Oct-23-09 14:02:57 PDT)
the pricing on that is about $360, though. i hope this helped

Your only good option is to replace the left headlight. I don't know how anal you are but Depo makes good OE headlights for cheap, or you can looking the classifieds and try to find a set there. You can also make a WTB thread, I'm sure someone has a set laying around that they are willing to let go.

Or what you could of done is filed a police report, contact insurance company, and paid ur deductable (depending on how much it is) and get it repaired.

It would probably end up as a no fault claim... it's a little too late now.
