Holy Jebus k24

So got the 80k mile work done at acura. Followed it up by installing p2r IM gasket, TB spacer and wow.

The car feels brand new again. My lord. All to do with this car before long trip next summer will be new cat, timing chain new tensioners and serpentine belt. Incredible, I can't say enough good about this car coming a honda prelude.

Accels much more smoothly, before vtec kicks in around 6k. It just seems like holding throttle down after the flush and added small parts the thing really gets going compared to before. I cant imagine what the reflash is like with good bolt ons.

Hard to describe really, but how it was when I bought it:
real solid, especially for an automatic, after ~10k miles and first maintenance and addons, when i push the throttle down, it is like having gone from a 30lb flywheel to an 8lb (for those who can relate with that) dunno how, must of had some funky crap in the tranny and engine.

Using torco oil + zinc in the engine now, first time putting in synthetic

i've had a 7lbs flywheel on a turbo gsr. i can relate. although, i must say, i've never heard of anyone feeling a difference after regular maintenance had been done. but, maybe your chain was loose and was throwing off timing EVER so slightly. that would do it.

Did you dyno before and after the 80k service?!!

I'm just kidding but unless your air filter was totally clogged, your car is not making any more power nor smoother...

It's all in your head.. It's like when the car runs better & stronger after washing it..

No worries though, enjoy..

BTW, there is no point in changing the serpentine belt nor the timing chains unless they are noisy or the belt looks cracked.

the serpentine belt gets whiny at idle in the rain, which I guess is just some water getting on it -- I really don't want my wife or I stranded 3k miles from home in the summer though.

But definitely the car is running much smoother, if it gets a reaction from the woman (which it did) it can't just be me. Hard to explain since I haven't had an automatic car before, something is just working on it.
