How many MPGs are YOU getting?
Lately I've been getting 24-25mpg even with a tire leak problem which I'm getting fixed tues and driving 80-85mph on the highway and with my hondata reflash. I get around 410 miles per tank of gas. What's everyone else's mpgs?
Side note: I am getting my car serviced for oil change and tire rotation this tues. One thing I'm just curious about is the engine maybe running too rich? I know you can look at the spark plugs and tell by their color. If I asked the techs to take a look, how long what that take? I dont want them to rape my wallet with that rediculous hourly rate. Should I not even really worry about it? Should I change my spark plugs soon? My car is 76500 miles, close to 5 years old.

yea man i would get that checked out. thats horrible. im going to assume you use premium b/c if you use regular youre more likely lose miles in the long run. you should prolly use a fuel injection cleaner if you havent done one in a while. also, check youre tire pressure, cabin air filter, or other small things like that which can add up.

Damn, are you driving with the parking brake on?
Are you keeping up with routine maintenance?

I do a lot of city and I usually see 280 miles when my fuel light comes on. So I usually average like 23-24 mpg

Um... yeah... you need to get that checked out. I have about 65xxx miles on my car and I'm still getting 24.5 mpg and I sort of have a heavy foot =P but then again I did a little bit of weight reduction to the car by removing useless crap but then again the weight reduction shouldn't change my mpg by more than 0.2 at the most.

I have an '05 MT, appoximately 55k miles, completely stock. Averaging 26.8 mpg since I've owned the vehicle (from late-May at 51.5k miles) with mostly mixed driving.
I noticed something weird a couple fill-ups ago. I was only able to get 22.3 mpg on one particular tank of gas. Nothing else really changed, so maybe the premium was watered down?!?!? Ironically, it was also right after an oil change.

Probably just a bad tank of gas, like you said...watered down a little.
I always wondered, if you use the same gas pump for premium as the person before you, but they pumped regular, how much of that regular fuel gets into your tank? I would assume its just a small amount, and it really doesn't hurt anything. Just a random thought.

It wouldn't even matter because its so little that if you actually measured it, would be like 92.97 or something along those lines instead of 93 octane

I do all my calculations manually; got a nice little spreadsheet to keep track of MPGs and vehicle maintenance records.
