got a quick question here.
is the apexi short ram the loudest intake out there for these cars?
how does it compare to injen one?

I'ven ever heard the Apexi, but my Injen is ridiculously loud.

thanks guys for quick reply's
well, i have been lookin at some videos on you tube, i found one video:
YouTube - Dyno 2006 Acura TSX Test Pull (1 of 4) with the apexi short ram, and i have been comparing it to injen or aem intakes on you tube, and they are not even close as loud.
unless i didn't find right videos.
short ram will always be louder then cai, right?

Yes, SRI is louder. Apex'i keeps the stock rubber tube there which muffles some of the sound. AEM and other short ram intakes replace is with a tube which keeps the sound high.

Injen converts to short ram, so anyone with an Injen SRI should speak up as to how loud it is. And don't trust youtube videos, because sound quality may not be good for some videos (whether it was filmed in a shop, on the road, in or outside the car are also factors)

The Injen SRI doesn't sound too different from the one in the video. They both growl pretty deeply on wot.

get a carbon fiber 3" pipe, put a good cleanable cone filter on the end of it, it'll sound wicked. Had that on my h22 build last few years

IMO this question is like asking which snail is the fastest. All SRI's are loud. I haven't heard them all but I'd imagine that they all sound similar.

Also, "loudness" is relative to the person. I have the APEX'i short ram and I don't think its THAT loud. Sure I would categorize it as loud but I wouldn't say its obnoxious or annoying. Someone else might have a different view on that.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend comparing the sound of intakes via youtube. The most favorable thing to do is to hear the actual intake in person.


Offtopic: Is your goal to make your car as loud as possible?
