Reading this has been helpful seeing how I have the same problem. I guess I will change my axles also.

I am f*cking pissed....
I finally gave in and was going to buy new axles. Then i started shopping around. I checked autozone - not available, napa - not available. So I figured what the hell, lets see how much they are at acura.... $689.... EACH! That is the most ridiculous inflated price I have ever heard in my life. I can get a pair of Driveshaft Shop stage 2.9 axles (500+ HP) for 60 dollars more than one factory axle. Be it that i am not under warranty, i will be purchasing axles from driveshaft shop (stage 0) and putting them on myself. This is completely unsatisfactory. Acura has all but a monopoly on these axles. Any normal (non performance minded person) would just purchase from the dealership when they were not available from local parts stores. and they would be paying a ridiculous price for them.
I guess that means i will be doing some more troubleshooting before i purchase axles, aftermarket axles. I have been holding it down for Honda as long as I have been driving. This is the first big one, but none the less a negative mark going down in my book.
I am pretty sure it is not the wheels/tires. I went to a used tire place to get some tires quick before a trip to san diego. it was some guy who barely spoke english. He put the tires on but didnt balance them. They arent out bad but they are out. But now i can specifically feel the two different vibrations. one from the tires and one from the reason the thread was started "axles" which is the best option so far short of tires. Everything else looks fine, but i will balance the tires and see if the vibration is still there, if it is i am buying axles.

Update: I ordered and recieved some DriveShaft Shop Stage 0 axles. Got them yesterday and they look mighty sweet. Look a ton better quality than the stock ones. Once i get some brake pads i will put them in an let everyone know how it goes.
I am finally going to fix the shaking after having it for about 6 months... LOL

Just recently purchased new rotors and pads. The shaking is now gone when I brake. I'm going to change my axles next.

I did not read all the posts so forgive me if this was said.
Shaking while accelerating up to 60 then it stops? Sounds like axles to me. Possible engine mount, but more likely axles.

Shaking while braking, some sort of rotor issue, wither warping or uneven pad deposits. Try rebedding the pads. If that doesn't work then you probably need to machine or replace the rotors.
http://www.heeltoeauto.com/Heeltoe-B...-pr-40003.html
Sounds like there are two issues going on.

What if the car starts shaking while cruising 60mph+? would that fall under the faulty axle?

^sound like you need to rebalance your tires.
most ppl don't even bother doing it but its recommended to get your tire rebalance every 3,000 miles or so

Then it could be an issue with the wheels or the tires are junky. Or maybe whoever is balancing them isn't doing a very good job. Shaking while cruising above 60 is pretty much always balance.

i wonder if this is the similar problem that s2000's had. i cant really explain it, but the inner part of the cv joint gets worn on an angle. the s2000 guys( formerly myself included) remove the axles and swap the inners from left to right. this way the part that is on an angle is going the opposite direction. i i did this to mine and it worked.
