Replacing the brake light switch - VSA related

I have the VSA light and [!] light come on intermitently since I purchased my 2004 TSX in December 2008.

In the past 2 months its become much worse, to the point where they come on at some point at least once or twice a day. From searching the forums, it looks like the problem can be solved by replacing the brake light switch.

I am fairly handy with working on my Hondas and feel comfortable replacing it myself as long as I have a general idea of where I should I be looking to find the switch.

Any help in advance is appreciated.

Thanks.

I had this replaced under warranty by the dealer. They said it was located under the dash where the brake pedal enters the firewall. I have no idea what it actually looks like though. I did find this on the service manual scans, and I think its the same thing.

Check out page 19-5 for the switch. It just shows adjustment and not removal, but it gives you an idea what to look for.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

Just curious if you had a chance to replace the brake light switch. I'm having similar issues with my '04... VSA & /!\ stay on after some very moderate cornering, mainly over some rough roads. I've been able to take these turns pretty fast without issue but now these lights are turning on, not flickering, and only turn off with an engine kill.

Thanks,
Mike
