popping noise in the back

I just installed tein springs on some tokico shocks on my 05. When i turn right coming out of a driveway or little dip in the street, something in the back pops. its not too loud, but its there. Any ideas what this could be?

I checked the rear sway bar to make sure i connected it back correctly since I had to unbolt it to make room for the rear shock to come off.

Also i heard that you have to cut off some bushing from the stock shock, but i didnt cut anything off. i took off all those washers and caps and stuff from under the top hat of the stock and transferred them over to the tokicos.

I have the same sound. I just swapped in a stock suspension at 105k miles. I have checked all bolts several times, removed my rear seat again and checked the strut mount bolts and retorqued them. I may just have to remove the entire shock assembly and check it all.

hey kbh, i solved the problem! turns out, i had two problems. fix to the first problem: the rear sway bar was correctly connected to an endlink or whatever you call it. but that small bar when i pushed it made the same sound i was hearing! so i tightened the bolt that connected it to the rest of the wheel.

second problem, (right side) one of the bolts were stripped and screwed in at an angle. I had to take it out and tighten it in straight.

Now, theres no noises, and rides so much better! good luck with yours

Thanks I'll have to check that. My stock driver's side rear endlink was rusted so I replaced with an aftermarket Moog unit that I bought at AdvanceAuto that has the grease gun nipples on it. I'll retorque those bolts too and see if it helps my sound

It's been so cold recently but I finally got my car's rear in the air. The passenger side end link locknut was indeed loose (forgot to use the hex wrench in the center to hold it fast). Tightened it up and now the car rides like new!
