JVD Caliper stickers review

Hey guys, I promised Jay that I'd write a review for the brake caliper stickers from JVD Graphics. It took a looong time for them to come due to difficulties Jason (owner of JVD) was having with USPS - he ended up shipping 3 sets out to me because the first 2 got lost. Well they finally came yesterday and I had a chance to put them on today

Price: $15 for 3 front and 3 rear caliper decals (shipping included)
Colors: white, gray, black, and red (website link at bottom)

Make sure the calipers are clean

Align the decal

Peel back the backside of decal

Apply the decal onto caliper and peel the clear side off - the decals should stick onto the calipers (sorry, forgot to take pic )

Far picture

With wheel back on

The decals themselves were very easy to apply, although the front calipers may prove a bit more difficult due to the uneven surface. So far I've driven about 40 miles today (mostly highway) and they seem to be stuck on there pretty well. If any flaws come up, I'll make sure to update it on this thread.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to contact me or Jay, or you can visit Jason's site here: JVD Graphics

note: The decals do not come with the Acura logo as shown on his website.

You can't go wrong with gloss black + white decals, Wong. Before I had my BBK, I rocked gloss black calipers for almost two years... G4 caliper paint holds up lovely. That gets my vote. Just don't be stingy with whatever paint you use. I put 4-5 coats per caliper which is why it stood the test of time so well.

+1 on the gloss black and white decals. some people think it's 'fakin the funk,' but i think it looks great!

i didn't remove the calipers; sprayed them while they were on the car still. just do a pretty good job of masking and you're golden!

I agree I did my the other week alot easier than removing them, but then again if your doing brake pads or ever want to do them taking them off isn't too hard.

Im with the OP on the caliper stickers from JVD. Took about 2-3 weeks to arrive but they have perfect curve and are well made.

Easy application too. Had them on for a couple months and no problem so far. I only purchased the front set though.

Wong, go with audioserf's advice. I think black looks the best for the TSX's luxury/sport-like looks. It's subtle but still noticeable.

I actually painted mine on with a brush. Bought the kit from Dupli-color at Autozone and it contains everything you need - caliper cleaner, brush, and the paint.

Also, you should sand down the calipers before painting them, it should help the paint adhere better and more evenly And apply multiple layers like auioserf said.
