Brakes == Weak
Am I the only one to feel that the TSX stock brakes are weak?
I've had them serviced a few weeks ago, and the mechanic says my brakes are still good.. Yet they feel weak compared to my Pontiac Vibe :S (which has 2 discs, and 2 drums)..
They;ve always felt weak on the car, am I the only one that feels that way?
Maybe it;s time for a big brake kit and cross drilled / slotted rotors!!!

When you had your brakes service did they test the fluid? I know in my buddys 08, the brakes definatly don't feel weak.
On the subject of brakes, many upgrades can be made to stock brakes before the need of doing major upgrades. Big cross drilled and slotted rotars may look really cool but will mostly decrease performance and cost a fortune. They decrease the pad surface area, increase pad wear, there is less material to disappate heat, as wel as being natrually prone to cracking. Drilling is done to reduce unsprung weight. Race teams and high dollar brakes of course aren't simply drilling blank rotars, they are casting them that way. Doing it this way apparently has a whole host of benifits.
For the street, and light track use, use a high quality and agressive pad. Upgrade your fluid, and do some stainless steel lines. I'm sure that it will work wonders. Maybe that will help you get the stopping distances and pedal feel your looking for. Also as a last resort maybe you could borrow some OEM parts from another acura with larger brakes.

The car is heavy that's why the stock brakes sucks, even though I have aftermarket rotors and pads, they seem weak too. Get a BBK if you want really good braking.

i feel the same way too, i got Hawk HPS and flushed the fluid with Motul and still not as responsive as a standard 08 civic. Like in the civic, u just tap the brake and its grabs alot harder than mine.

Thanks.. I don't think I'll be considering upgrading to cross drilled / slotted or even big brakes.
I'll be investing in new pads and maybe new rotors. heard good reviews about the EBC greens.. however, fast wear... I'll stay away from monroe LOL
