Help with wheels and tires - I don't know what size
Hey guys, I'm planning to get these wheels for my TSX
Drag DR-31 custom wheels in the Orange County Area - Discount Tire/America's Tire
The site says 18x8 5-100/114. Does this fit the TSX? It looks like it says offset 48, but I'm not sure about the bolt pattern. Also, what size tires do I have to get? I looked at the wheel/tires sheet and I want to be close to OEM as possible, so can I get tires at 215/45-18?
Also, can I reuse my old TPMS and attach it to the new wheel?
Thank you for your help

I think the bolt pattern is dual bolt meaning 5x100 or 5x114 so yes it'll fit the TSX as long as it's 5x114.3. Tires, you can get 225/40/18 and yes you can reuse the old TPMS.

But can I use 215/45/18? It's because that size is only a 6% difference while 225/40/18 is a 1.5% difference.

^ stay under 2%.
IMO I'd try to stay with 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 (ideal size)

but as far as TPMS goes it depends on those wheels if they have it or not. I doubt that it will have an option for it.

As what was said above by Icemiko. In addition to this, some rims are not compatible with the TPMS from Acura/Honda. Most are though, I know my CR Kai's are. You can always install them on the rim from the original ones or buy an extra set and install them like I did.

I don't get what you meant in that sentence. How come my stock TPMS won't be compatible with the new rims?
Also, if I don't install the TPMS, will the car alert me about missing/low tire pressure every time I start the car?

I think he means you can buy a generic set of TPMS for the rims if the OEM ones don't fit. I am not sure for the TSX but I know if you don't install the TPMS for the new Accords, you can't turn off VSA.

Sorry, I meant you can buy two sets of TPMS sensors for the car. I have 1 set in my OEM rims as they're my winter rims and I bought another set for my summer rims. The part number for the TPMS sensors are Acura part # 42753-STK-A02/A03. Since you live in CA and don't have winter you might not need an extra set.
Ex:
4 ACURA RDX MDX TSX HONDA PILOT TPMS WHEEL RIM SENSOR :eBay Motors (item 230392957597 end time Nov-06-09 12:27:46 PST)
You can buy these as an extra set and have them installed in your new rims. You will need the dealership to possibly program the new set with your car. If you do not place in the TPMS sensors then you will get an annoying alert saying there is an error with the system or something because I kept getting that until I placed in the sensors. This is just another option instead of taking out the sensors from your OEM rims and placing them in your new ones.
Most rims can take the thickness of the valve stems from the sensors but a select few rims are not able to. More than likely you will be fine though, it was just something I felt was worth mentioning.
