Tire size for Mugen GP?

Hey guys, I'm picking up my Mugen GP's soon. I keep seeing sites that recommends the tire size for 18x7.5 offset 48 to be 215/40-18. According to the TSX wheel/tire chart, that's a 2.7% difference than the OEM. That is a lot. Will 225/40-18 fit instead? Or better yet, will 215/45-18 fit?

I went with a 225/40 as do most that run the GP's. 215/45 will look too big IMO. 215/40 would look alright but you wouldn't have as much rim protection from curbage.

Just get 225/40/18, that's what I got when I had 18x8 wheels.

Ya, they do. Most of the 8thgen civic guys run them with TPMS.

I think the recommended 215/40/18 is for 8th Gen Civics. I'm planning on doing 235/40's on mine.

My car is CGP. I really wished they would sell these in bronze, but I'm getting these wheels for 750, so no complaining there. Oh and there's already a black tsx with mugen gp's

^^ Ahhh there's my preview. 1TSXer, are you running on wheel locks? The mugen gp that I got just comes with regular ole' lug nuts. I do not want these stolen in a heart beat so im definitely opting for some locks. What lug set are you running?
