USA Break in miles?

Hi,

I got a new TSX 09, 6MT ... and needless to say its awesome.

I was wondering if there is any special care that needs to be taken for the break-in period, and how much miles would be the new engine break-in?

I make sure that I don't take the engine anywhere near the red line till now. It has got about 2000 miles.

Thanks,
Spirit

You want dont want to cruise at a constant speed/revs for a extended period of time. You always want your operate in different rev ranges during break-in. Like race tires, you want to heat cycle your engine. But with 2000miles, your engine is basically broken in. Usually with modern engines, break-in is only about 500-1000 miles contrary to the beliefs.
