2010 tsx v6

Found this article, it seems like the tsx is actually getting the v6. I personally think a 3.5 is overkill though..a 3.2 or something would have been better suited. Jumping from 2.4 to 3.5 is a huge jump..what's the point of a tsx AND tl if they have essentially the same engine. I think they should have stuck with the turbo i4, and added awd either way.

No SH-AWD in this one, and no 6MT, so i'm going to be moving into a different car very soon. S2000, RL, RDX, C350, 335ix, g35x, S4... something along those lines.

When will car makers realize, we want Turbo 4-cyl and AWD, in a small light package....

so is the 2010 TSX still going to be considered 2nd gen? Or is Acura skipping to 3rd gen in one year's time?

Why would they call it the 3rd gen? Nothing has changed... it's just a car with a new engine. The 2nd gen chassis isn't goign to magically go away because you don't like it. It'll be around for 4~5 years before being replaced/remodeled. They may keep the base chassis and update it in a few years, like the 4th to 5th gen accord's back in the 90's. This is standard Honda practice.

The 1st gen production has ended, let it go. Enjoy them by all means, but saying the car is no good is a personal opinion.

Of note, I've seen multiple 09's popping up everywhere. Previously, about a month ago, I had only seen one other one besides mine, now I see probably 10~12 on the road in a given week. College kid at the car wash last Friday said he's dumping his 04 for an 09 next month. I told him to do whatever makes him happy.

I love my 1G TSX, but I wouldn't mind a 2010 with V6 either

It's an improvement in many ways over the 1G, now if people prefer the 1G look then that's cool too. But enough with the sandbagging of the 2G guys, it's a very nice car.

The V6 update allows them to have a more powerful engine in their entry luxury sedan, and they can say to prospective 328 owners... we offer more power, more included options, for less money. Instead of just the tired, though valid, value + reliability advantage, Honda can add power to the equation now (+the extra work on suspension and handling is a plus).

Good deal. I did not know that. Thought they were offering in a V6 only.

the V6 is only offered with an AT.
to sell the TSX with no MT option at all would not be good...
