I don't get people's obsession with station wagons. After the minivans, they are the ugliest things on the road.

^^^I used to hate wagons... but now, I can't imagine not wanting a wagon. I hate SUVs with a passion (even though my wife and I have an MDX too), and sedans don't have enough versatility for "active" lifestyles. My TSX is too small for carrying snowboards and bikes well (which is why I use a Yakima Skybox), and my TL-S's back seats don't fold down which renders the trunk useless for anything other than carrying groceries. If we talk about performance too, hatchback sedans also tend to have a more rigid chassis which gives them better handling out of the box than their saloon/sedan counterparts.

Sign me up! I'll add this to my shortlist (along with the MS3 and STI) when I decide to trade-in/sell the TSX or TL-S. I hope to god they make a 6MT... that's the downfall of the Lancer Sportback to me...

I'd consider it for <$35k with SH-AWD. Of course, for <$35k, you can also pick up an STI - drab spartan interior notwithstanding.
