TSX now made in China!!
No kidding...Honda is now building TSX/Accord Euro Version in China and called it SPIRIOR. Don't worried, these machines only sells to the domestic market and NOT going to export.
Retail price is around USD 35K+. The only difference is the Type S version and with or without the Navi. Note that they are using the less powerful I-4 178HP engine not the 200HP. See the attached photos for your reference.

Most of the components in our TSX are already made in China, so now they will just put them together in China and save on shipping costs. It's only a matter of time before they start shipping them out to the rest of the world.

I thought something like 95% of the parts on TSX (1st gen at least) are made in Japan.

In fact, The tariff of importing whole car to PRC is much more higher than importing the raw parts. That's why the automakers decide to set up factory in PRC for the assembly. Most likely the engine, tranmission and other main parts are imported. However, they will be gradually become localized.
I am returned from Van, BC and now working in Hong Kong and China. I am considering whether it is worthy to buy a USD35K china-made TSX.

I like the headlights and the front lip........looks good, as long as Honda can keep their quality check control in check, these should be just as reliable as their Japanese built cars.
