The two bolts that are shown in the DIY section for the CAI are easier to remove with the bumper off. All you have to do is take off the bumper and two trim clips and it's easy to get to with a mere socket wrench (10mm). Once off you just pull out the big old box and you're done. I also had my hood popped open and removed that piece to help the intake of air in front of the battery. There is one bolt that holds in that tube too but you can take it off from approaching the bottom of the car. Once that bolt is off I just pulled that tubing through the bottom and done. It's really easy and anyone can do it. I mainly did it to see what the big hub bub was about and I do have increased gas mileage. I get about an extra 2-3 mpg according to my MID but when calculating it manually I am seeing about a 1-2 mpg gain depending on my driving, be it city or traffic or highway.

So bumper off but tires on. To me it's a lot easier that way since I used the bumper being off to access the extra tubing in the middle by the battery and I couldn't imagine doing that with the bumper staying on. And yea, installing the HID fogs and removing the resonator was about a 30 min job overall, give or take some lazy break time haha.
I'm actually kind of scared of taking off the bumper since I never took it off before and I just had the lip kit put on =/ But thanks for the info I think I know what to do now Your tips always work for me

I had to... wouldnt be worth it IMO.

And yes, we were referring to the K&N Drop In.
Thanks. I think I'm gonna try this way out. How hard was it getting the bolts off without taking off the bumper?
