I agree totally. But i do it in different ways now. Like using non metallic-based intakes and tubes, to aid in the prevention of heat soak. Also use the foam/foil duct insulation on things that can be hidden from sight, that helps alot too. We ducted up my buddy's turbo RX7, they have tons of heat problems. He could feel a considerable difference after driving for a while...
