Well 1000 is high...real high. I have done many K20 clutches from the RSX to the Civic Si To the TSX. It aint easy as the past hondas but sure aint worth 1000 dollers esp when you are replacing the flywheel with new and they dont even need to shave the old flywheel. The reason its more harder then the past is due to the Subframe coming down outta the car while you use a screwjack / Engine hoist or something along them lines to support the engine while you are dropping the trans. Reason being once you have the subframe down you lose to motor mounts and once you take out the tranny you lose the Drivers side mount and only left with one mount holding the engine in. Nothing of this prob dont make sense to anyone but to who have done this knows exactly what im talking about.
I dont know off the top of my head the Book time to do this install but i would say around 5 hours.... total guess but thinking of all the work to be done im saying around that time. I have done this in about 3 hours my self due to doing so many and know exactly what to do next. Good luck with it! Can always come to philly and ill do it for ya!
