reflash before i die plz
|
i've toyed around with the idea of getting a used one. the wife and i only have one kid now, but if we have a second, we'll definitely need a car with a little more room.
plus, the reflash option is a nice one. haha.

I Think its OK
I went to test drive an RDX @ its launch & was left rather unimpressed. There was nothing horrible about it but it did not blow me away in any sense. This was the 1st Acura in recent years that left that impression ... not just w/ me but reviewers & awards did not rave about it like they did when the 2004 TSX/TL & 2005 RL were launched.
The noted problems I had were that the interior seemed rather cheap even compared to my TSX, despite a higher price tag. Also, the whining sound of the turbo was a tad bothersome. Also that year, it lacked some key luxury features like auto-dimming rear view mirror & power passenger seat but I think that those have been made standard since.
Overall, the RDX is fine for what it is, altho a bit bland in the exterior, & it has 5 star crash test ratings & Acura reliability so I would purchase that before an Infiniti EX or BMW x3.

Go Rav4 Go ! Doesn't hurt to look. If you go on Saturday and you're in the area check out Toyota on the Park, Lexus on the Park is having a promotion for their ISC and RX450H promotion.

I drove them and they are very very nice. Gives you enough pep to make your grin but still smooth when the girlfriend drives it.

Audi Q5.
1. They make arguably the best AWD system.
2. The LED daytime running lights are pretty sweet.
3. Slightly better gas milage. 18/23 Q5 vs 17/22 RDX.
4. If i remember correctly, Audi USA now offers free maintenance like BMW has been doing.

The Q5's are nice but fully loaded prices are nowhere near as low as RDX prices.

The Q5 is really nice but a little out of our budget. Didn't have time to test drive the RDX this weekend, hoping to check one out next weekend time permitting. We have till fall to make a decision so we are going to take our time in choosing. Her only wish is for all wheel drive and she has now taking a liking to the Subaru Imprezza hatch. I guess we will be checking out many vehicles before this is finalized

if you've still got a while and your girlfriend dont mind a slightly used car. volvo XC60 (i think thats the name of it) is a pretty good buy. i have an issue of MT magazine here and it rated the volvo second place in a 4 vehicle comparison. it beats out lexus RX350 and MB GLK350. Volvo = price drops pretty quick for a used one, and build like a brick. it's in all honesty not a bad looking car either.

I like the Volvo too but for some reason she thinks it's too much of a family car. I'm not going against her on that one either :P
I do think she has her heart set on a Subaru Imprezza now but we are still have lots of time to shop
