Interesting
Something seems fishy about Honda not knowing that they had it in inventory for 10 years but whatever ... I did like that body style much much better than the previous generation but not as much as the one before that. This car is noteworthy bc it was the start of what would turn into Acura's SH-AWD.

Its kinda cool that they have an old car that's so "new".
I think its dumb at how expensive it is. Who would pay so much for a non-vintage/classic, non-exotic, not even rare, everyday economical coupe that is 10 years old for 26k?
You can buy a NEW model that is better in all ways (arguably not aesthetically) for less. I actually like the current 2 door accords way better than that Prelude.

That is my favorite Lude... Looks better than most of Honda's current offerings. I hope that Honda returns to it's roots; smaller, lighter, fun automobile's. New accord's have gotten so large it is depressing seeing them becoming homogenized like other Japanese automakers... becoming more like American automotive manufacturers.
Hopefully Ito can help them find themselves in the near future.

that's a rip off..that car is not worth anything close to that price..high mileage or no mileage at all..the car is 10 years old and for $26k u could get into a car that's nicer than the tsx..if they were asking like $15 i'd think it was a stretch but more worthwhile

This was one of the last great cars Honda built. Preludes aren't as common as they used to be. This one is definitely one of a kind with that kind if mileage, but its not worth that price.

What Exactly Happened to the Prelude
I did not start getting into cars until ~2004 so I missed this era but were sales that bad? I admit the Accord coupe @ that time was really nice (looked like a toned down NSX) but they really could have done more to differentiate the Prelude; the SH-FWD was a start but they could have given it a more powerful engine or AWD. Speaking of which, I really wish that they would put the SH-FWD on the FWD TL, TSX & RDX - a perfect way to differentiate them from Honda.
Growing up I used to really really really want a 1990-1991 Prelude: the 3rd generation after the MMC when they replaced the orange lights w/ white.
Now the 4th generation was not cute. That thing looked awkward & bloated @ best but they got it back to its roots in the 5th generation. Hopefully, the return of the Toyota Celica (rumored to be that RWD/AWD coupe that they are making w/ Subaru) will bring back the Prelude but unfortunately it probably will not get RWD to compete properly.
Typical Honda, kill a product instead of improving it or making it right (Insight, RSX, Accord Hybrid, NSX, S2000 ... )
