you're assuming I can't pay my bills?
that is funny.
I paid for my car and her car cash.
and I paid off our house.
no car payments, no mortgage, thanks to me.
in return, she pays the monthly bills left over.
ashamed? hardly.
I doubt you can claim nearly the same thing.

the problem is the way you wrote it- It sounded like you pay nothing and your wife is paying the bills. It is too bad others have not read previous posts from you. We have no car payments but have a affordable mortgage. Luckily I do not have to work as my husband's income is enough to pay our bills, have savings, and take trips. I have worked since I was 16 so it nice just being a housewife.

i pay $274 a month for the car and $113 for insurance on my 2004 6mt.
i'm only 21 but ive never gotten a ticket or an accident and took a bunch of defensive drive and whatever, my insurance completely covers everything on my car.

~$22k
$3.7k down
9.99% apr first year/ refinanced to 5.49% second year
$446/month for first year, and now $1000+/month
Realized I wasn't getting anywhere my first year paying the minimum $446, so I stepped it up as income flow increased.

Looks like I'm the only one who thinks a little leverage is a good thing...

I WIN!!!
our passat is 22.99% (yes that says twenty-two) APR 348.58/mo for 6 forkin years. chaps my a**
had to go and buy a new car to replace my partners 2000 taurus in 2008
we had nothing to put down and found it on carmax for 10999, 15xxx after waranty, taxes and such. we got RAPED cuz both of us have bad credit...
im driving a 95 dx 5spd civic that runs like new. i paid 4200 cash for it in 2005 and when i FINALLY get my settlement, im gonna (hopefully) buy a house outright and use what i used to spend on rent to buy a car.
what also chaps my a** is im paying almost 100 dollars a month on the civic in comprehensive insurance and the KBB on the damn thing is 1200. its bull.
