482.46 for 72 months @ 7.49, just refinanced and added 6 months to the loan at 404.76 for 66 months @ 6.49. Didn't want to risk getting the car repossessed cuz the high payment was killing me (still is, but not as much). Like many people across the country, I lived beyond my means for way too much (since i was 17, now 25)

I basically did the same thing (buying this car at 24 wasn't a great idea financially, I struggled to pay for it at first and it's STILL not easy to do 3 years later). My cash flow = fail. If I'd gotten paid this year (thanks, economy!) I would have paid the car off lump-sum in March.

Awwww hell naw dude 8.0% man take a ride to your local credit union and refi at 6%. The big companies now are struggling but not the locals. For example I got a 780 credit score and a Wachovia credit card idiots had me at 19%. I called to close my account and open a new one for a better rate and was declined. **** Wachovia local union got me 9%

I'm pretty sure the 551 payment on a tsx is for financing..for example my payment is 600 CAD per month to finance around 30k for 54 months..
It's not reasonable to compare a 551 pmt on a financed tsx to a g37 lease for 519.
Not sure if you know this, but when financing you're paying for the ENTIRE car ($30,000/60=$500/month) whereas if you were to lease (rent) a car like the g37, you are paying like 600 for 60 months which comes to $36,000, but the car is actually like $50,000, so at the end of the 60 months you have to buy out the car (remainder of price) or return it.

Today is a benchmark day for me... I knocked my loan below the $10k mark. 5 year loan, been paying fairly close to the minimum (hooray for living beyond your means in your early 20's), however I plan to pay it off by next July -- which would be a year early.
