Rules BLACK LIST of Dealers, eBay and other sellers...

Below is a BLACK LIST that will serve to warn others against bad sellers. The implemented rule is "3 strikes and you're out". If there are at least 3 complaints from various members, the seller will be added to the Black List. With less than 3 complaints, he will remain in a single Complain List.

Please post your comments about bad experiences, or post links to other threads that show that bad feedback (be sure to explain exactly why), and we will update the first post here accordingly.

It seems that for the most part, the quality of her items is good, but that's not always the case, and when you get a bad item, her customer service skills are a nightmare. I've personally dealt with her recently and since the start she was very offensive and threatening. The spoiler I received from her was poorly painted and she is either too dumb to understand that it's her fault, or too ignorant to admit it. Beware when buying from this seller! It may be only a one-way transaction.

That would be leading ppl into false security. If you know that you can get screwed and you're cautious and you come out with a good experience, that's good. But if you are prepared to get good service and that leads you to put too much trust into the person you deal with, you might just get twice as much screwed as if you didn't read some "gold list"

True, but atleast it would guide people into the right direction rather than have them spend there hard earned money taking a chance somewhere else.

I know Garden State Honda. Had one good experience with them, but several bad ones. But I think any dealership will not disclose that the car has been in an accident. Mine was pre-owned certified and it was very well fixed, so I didn't notice it after I bought it from Paragon, but it also was in an accident, or at least it must've had scratches, because 1/2 of it was repainted. No frame repair of any kind, though, so it looks like just cosmetics.
If you want to add them to the list, I can do that, but again, I think this would be a complaint just about any dealer, used or new. They will never tell you teh car was in an accident, because that depreciates its value.

I do not think a dealer should be put on the black list because of just one complaint. I have never been to Montclair acura but another poster recommends that dealer. Just because you seem to have bad experiences with the dealers does not mean they are all bad. I seem to get excellent service but my motto is if you want respect you should give it.

I agree with this entirely. I basically leave it up to members to steer up threads and ideas in the proper direction. So if there were requests to add the merchant based on even a single complaint, as long as no one else was opposed, I went with it. But I'm glad you brought this point up.

So how about we set up a slightly different system: "3 strikes and you're out" ? If there are 3 complaints from different members about the same merchant, he'd take place on the black list. Otherwise, we keep him under a "Complaint" list. Let me know if you have other ideas. Meanwhile, I'll update the first post to reflect what I mean here.

I think that maybe we should just put up our experiences regardless of good or bad. Like how someone said that DCH Montclair did them wrong. While I think that they took care of me really well, and also serviced my car really well too when I had to take it in for transmission problems.
