These are pretty well "spec" cars these days & is one of the few open wheel series that still run slicks.
The now defunct CART/Champ cars were one of the few still running turbos on their much smaller V8 Ford Cosworth engines.
Formula 1 (F1) is a completely different racing series.
F1 cars have naturally aspirated 2.4L V8 engines. My understanding is that Honda bailed on F1 when the 3.0L V10 engines were changed to 2.4L V8's to slow those cars down.
Slicks are not allowed in F1.

Yes my mistake but the point still stands that there is no mistaking a Shelby cobra for a Honda.
Danica = Honda hence the whole point of his comment.
