TSX-of-the-Month QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of you guys for your contributions to our forum jewel, the TSX of the Month contest! It has been a long run and I'm sure most of you enjoyed the events!

We, the moderating/administrating team would like to implement some new qualification standards from now on to make our TOTM system much better! But along with these improvements comes some responsibility and co-operation on the members' part!

I am sure alot of you have seen the strengths as well as the flaws of our old system so we are trying our best to eliminate the flaws. Your co-operation and comments are greatly appreciated!

For each month of contest:

Main Thread:
You should create (or designate one of your existing) a picture thread (only one) to be your Main Thread. This thread should contain all (listed below) that everyone will need to evaluate and vote for your car for the month you're competing in.

Photos of your TSX:
Anyone who wants to be nominated MUST have a proper collection of photos of their car in their Main Thread. A professional photoshoot is not necessary, but your photos should include all angles of your car including its highlights. The better pictures you put in, the more positive feedback you can receive from all members. In other words, the better you "advertise", the better the chance for a "sale"

Mod List:
Along with the pictures, a FULL list of mods you have done to your car should be present in the first post of your Main Thread. This will help members identify what has really been done to your car because some of the mods you have may not be visible in pictures, but should be recognized

Poll in Main Thread:
In your Main Thread, a poll should be created with the following question: "Is my TSX worthy of a TOTM for [month, year]?" or something similar. This will provide feedback from members, and the person with the most positive feedback ratio (percentage of positive votes in relation to the total number of voters in the poll) when the month ends will be the winner. If you don't know how to create a poll, just contact one of the moderators on our forum and we'll help you out.
Every month a TOTM winner is chosen, all qualifying candidates who are signed-in (as explained below) will have their polls closed in their Main Threads, and if they choose to run in the next month, they have to create a new Main Thread with a new poll, pictures and a list of mods.

Candidates:
Anyone can be a candidate as long as they fulfill the above rules and then sign into the Candidate Sign-in Thread, unless they have been a TOTM winner within the past 6 months, in which case they are disqualified for 6 months.

During the month you're competing in, you're free to edit your Main Thread as you wish: change pics, list of mods, etc., as long as the link from the sign-in thread is updated with your most current info and the poll remains intact.

We greatly appreciate your co-operation and support for these new qualification standards. Our forum would not have this feature without your participation.

quick question what if u won TOTM before and later would like to go for it again is there any possibility of this?

Yes of course.. but your car should have some significant changes done to it.

wasn't it like a 6 month time frame though before you can apply again if you were already totm?

sounds cool to me i'm not tryin to get it anytime soon, lol i never tried to get it last time so maybe when i think i'm really ready this time it'll happen thanks for the info Vortec.

06tsx, yes there is a time frame.. but think about it, whos baller enough to keep changing parts dramatically every month to keep winning TOTM lol.

and crix's 6 month probation is over.

Most people who win are on the outer look as well as performance. There are some who prefer to do all show and no go and others who are all go and no show really.

For Example: February 2009 TSX of the Month!

His is all performance and is attempting to actually keep the stock look overall to be a

and not as flashy as a lot of people out there. Still sick and wins. You win if you deserve it by putting in the work and dedication into your car IMO.
